Online Therapy Services: Questions Answered

Yes. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation where we can briefly chat about what you’re looking for, answer any initial questions, provide information on my practice policies, and see if my services are a good fit for your needs.

You can reach out by email at info@getherapyservices.com or by calling 940-510-9606. Once I hear from you, we’ll review availability, talk through what you’re looking for, and discuss next steps for getting started.

The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll discuss what brings you to therapy, what has been weighing on you, and what you’re hoping will feel different.

Therapy sessions are typically 50 minutes.

Many clients begin with weekly sessions, especially when they are first starting therapy or moving through a more stressful season. Over time, we can discuss what frequency feels most supportive based on your needs, goals, and availability.

At this time, I provide individual therapy services and am not currently seeing couples. Individual therapy can still be a helpful place to explore relationship patterns, communication, boundaries, and your own needs within relationships.

I accept a limited number of insurance plans through Octave. All insurance-related scheduling and billing must be handled directly through the Octave platform.

I also accept select EAP benefits, including Lyra and Spring Health. If you are using EAP benefits, we can review your coverage and next steps before getting started.

Outside of Octave and select EAP benefits, I am not independently in-network with traditional insurance plans through my private practice. Private pay clients are responsible for payment at the time of service, and I can provide a superbill for possible out-of-network reimbursement when appropriate.

My session fee is $175 per session. Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise discussed. To keep scheduling simple and consistent, a card is required to be kept on file for appointments.

Yes. If you are paying privately and would like to seek possible out-of-network reimbursement, I can provide a superbill. Reimbursement is not guaranteed, so I encourage you to contact your insurance provider directly to ask about your out-of-network mental health benefits.

Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice and missed appointments may incur a fee. If you are using EAP benefits, coverage for missed or late-canceled sessions may vary depending on your benefits.

If you are running late, please join the session as soon as you are able or reach out as soon as possible. Sessions still end at the scheduled time. Clients have a 15-minute grace period to join. If you have not joined or contacted me within 15 minutes of the scheduled start time, I will assume you are unable to attend, and the appointment may be considered a late cancellation or no-show. Late cancellations and missed appointments may be subject to a fee.

No. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I do not prescribe medication. If medication support is something you’re considering, I encourage you to consult with a medical provider or psychiatrist.

Requests for letters, disability paperwork, emotional support animal (ESA) documentation, or other forms are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed. I do not complete documentation or paperwork without consistent, ongoing care, an established therapeutic relationship, clinical appropriateness, and enough time for assessment.

If documentation is appropriate and completed outside of a scheduled therapy appointment, an additional fee may apply.

Yes. Therapy is confidential, with some legal and ethical exceptions. These exceptions may include concerns related to safety, abuse or neglect, court orders, or situations where there is risk of harm to yourself or someone else. We will review confidentiality and its limits as part of the informed consent process.

Unfortunately, this practice is not set up as a crisis or emergency service and is not equipped to provide immediate emergency response. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency or feel unable to keep yourself safe, call or text 988, call 911, or go to the nearest emergency room.
